The goal of individual sex and intimacy therapy is to help you understand where you are stuck and why. I will partner with you on your journey to develop clear insight into who you are and how you show up for yourself and your relationships. We will work together to identify your specific goals for treatment and develop a plan that is unique and tailored to your needs and desires. 

Even though we are here to speak about intimacy concerns, this often illuminates other struggles, including anxiety, depression, attachment trauma, and grief. You are a whole and complex person, and there are many parts of you to explore and understand in order to achieve the changes you want to make.

Individual psychotherapy sessions typically last 50 minutes and may be held once or twice a week, depending on your unique needs. The number of sessions can vary. Treatment may be short-term or more open-ended, depending on the complexity of the issues being addressed.


If you are concerned about the health and vitality of your relationship, you are in the right place.

For couples in long-term committed partnerships or brand new ones, there is always room to improve communication between you and your “person.” We will work together to increase your understanding of each other's needs and perspectives and develop skills to communicate and resolve conflicts maturely and helpfully.  So if you are experiencing a wide range of issues like relationship doldrums, differing expectations and sexual desires, infidelity, trust issues, betrayal trauma, sexual performance concerns, and desire for intimacy after an illness or treatment, I can help.

Empowered Intimacy runs periodic group therapy for Sex and Intimacy Concerns, Sex and Love Addiction, and Betrayal Traumaall for identified women. We provide a safe space to connect and build peer support to explore "hard-to-talk-about" conversations.

Group Therapy might be right for you if you are looking for help with:

  • Finding and creating healthier relationships

  • Changing unhealthy relationships and sexual patterns
